Who we are
Noet (“we”, “us”) provides a desktop product and related websites. The data controller for personal data processed through this marketing site and related services is the entity named in your order form or terms of service when you become a customer; until then, contact details published on this site apply.
What we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may process: account and contact details (e.g. email if you create an account); technical and usage data (e.g. device type, approximate region, pages viewed); communications you send us; and payment-related metadata processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers on our servers when you use standard hosted checkout).
If you use the Noet application with integrations, additional categories may apply as described in the in-product notices and your integration providers' terms.
Google user data
If you connect Google (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, or Google Sheets), Noet accesses your Google data only to provide features you enable: reading and syncing email, calendar events, and Drive files on your device; answering questions you ask about spreadsheet data; composing and sending email drafts you approve; and creating or editing Drive files you explicitly request through the app.
Google user data is stored encrypted on our servers and on your device. We do not use Google user data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or use it to train generalized AI models. Access is limited to what is needed to operate the features you use.
Sharing. Google user data is shared only with the subprocessors that operate the service on our behalf (hosting and AI inference). When you use an AI feature, the relevant Google content (for example, an email or document you ask about) is sent to our AI inference provider solely to generate your response, under terms that prohibit the provider from using it to train their models. We never share Google user data with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
Retention and deletion. You can disconnect Google at any time in Noet settings. Disconnecting revokes Noet's access and deletes the stored Google credentials, and syncing stops immediately. Synced copies of Google user data are deleted from our servers when you delete your Noet account, or earlier on request to the contact address on this site. Google data stored on your device remains under your control and is removed when you delete it in the app or uninstall Noet.
Noet's use of Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
Purposes and legal bases
We use data to provide and improve the service, secure our systems, communicate with you, comply with law, and—where allowed—measure product usage. Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on appropriate lawful bases such as contract, legitimate interests, and consent where required (e.g. non-essential cookies or marketing, when we ask for it).
Sharing and subprocessors
We use trusted service providers (hosting, analytics, payments, error reporting, AI inference, and similar functions). A current list appears on our Security page. Providers may process data in accordance with their terms and, where required, standard contractual clauses or other transfer mechanisms.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. Retention periods vary by data type and context.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights, contact us using the details we publish on this site when available.
Children
Our services are not directed at children under 16 (or the age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and adjust the “Last updated” date.
